Hi Tom,
We should move this to S. cinctulus instead. Although the markings do actually stop before the elytral markings, other, more reliable characters identify this as S. cinctulus. The antennae are actually quite transverse in the specimen and are turned in the photo.

Thanks Adam. I collected 3 of these from the same small piece of bark. I only photographed this one, since they all appeared to be the same species. I'll save what I collected today for you to look at.

Hi Tom,
This should be Sepedophilus occultus, the red markings on the elytra seem to stop before the lateral edge and distal antennomeres are quite long - excluding S. cinctu*lus which is very similar.
Worth sending most to me for verification.
