Interesting little striped beetle -
Epicauta occidentalis
Silsbee, within the Big Thicket, Hardin County, Texas, USA
September 19, 2010
Size: approx. 1 inch
I've never seen one of these.
It was on one of my lawn chairs around dusk and it was approx. 1 inch long.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Makes me think of Epicauta
Even if I'm right about the genus (no guarantee about that), there are a number of similar species, so wait to hear from the experts.
