Pupa - Acleris variegana

Pupa - Acleris variegana
Alameda County, California, USA
September 2, 2010
Size: 8.4 mm
This pupa was in the same rolled leaf edge that the larva had been occupying in the daytime. The leaf had been dry for some time. The pupa may have formed as long as a few days before I noticed it. (Leaf unrolled and webbing around pupa pulled back for photography.)
