Don't know what to think about this larva. The closest I can find is midge larva. Really need some help sorting this one out. Thanks

Midge galls
These are not larvae, they are galls of a Contarinia sp. midge (adults of this species have not been reared). The fuzzy gall in the first image was caused by a cynipid.
