Calopteron reticulatum ? - Calopteron terminale
Warren County, North Carolina, USA
September 7, 2010
Size: 09/07/10
Can somebody confirm this ID ?

Moved from Beetles.

C. terminale, rather

and I thought I had that one nailed !!!

despite their showy appearance, those are confusingly variable and often do not lend themselves to nailing from photos at all :)
this one, however, clearly shows the blue tinge and the transverse depression across the elytra, both features being reportedly diagnostic of C. terminale
