Lake Darner
Excellent shots! Yes, this is a male Lake Darner (Aeshna eremita). They look a bit like an oversized Canada Darner, with some differences. A black facial crossline is visible here, which similar species lack. The thick anterior lateral thoracic stripe is very deeply incised in the middle.

Green-striped Darner (A. verticalis) doesn't have a facial crossline, and has greenish-yellow thoracic stripes. The anterior lateral stripe is obtusely notched, and there is a thicker posterior flag.

Moved from ID Request. Not sure about Green-striped vs. Lake (but I'm no expert).
