Light blue furry flying insect

Light blue furry flying insect
Fairfield, Somerset County, Maine, USA
September 22, 2010
I found this tiny flying blur of light blue lazily flying around near my compost pile. The intense pale blue color did not come through so well in the photos, so it looks kind of white, but it was very blue. The wings may have had a big part of the color, because it seemed more blue during flight. I followed it around a bit and took pictures and eventually it was captured by a jumping spider! Can anyone i.d. them both?

Thanks in advance
