Before and After - Aplos simplex

Before and After - Aplos simplex
Flagler Beach, Flagler County, Florida, USA
June 1, 2010
Saw these two on this flower bud, looking like they knew where they looked good. =) Looks to me like they could be the same kind, judging from the eyes and some other features, even though one is a nymph.

The plant they're on is Coral Bean, Erythrina herbacea.

Moved
Moved from Planthoppers.

Thionia simplex?
There is no image from FL though...

Thanks, Yurika!
Your linked photos looked right. =)

Thionia simplex
This is the only member of Thionia recorded from FL. Evidently, the adult is freshly molted and hasn't "colored up" yet.

A great photo - do you have it in higher resolution? It would make a great lead photo for an article I have in mind.

Also -
If it helps to know where it was or what sort of environment, you can click on the map on my Flickr page for it and see.

Great
Thank you! I was hoping you'd find this one.

Yes, I do have a higher resolution image - coming your way via email.
