Here is the smoking gun
if the two elytral spots (anterior and posterior) are connected above the lateral margin where the epipleuron starts, then it is
N. marginatus
, if the spots are connected almost on the lateral margin, then its
N. obscurus
. Looks like I can see the connection from above, so my first ID is most likely the beast...

Not N. guttula?
Is there a reason you've rejected
N. guttula
as a possibility? I'm trying to figure out how one separates
N. guttula
and
N. marginatus
for individuals with red markings on the elytra. I saw a comment somewhere about curved tibia, but I'm not sure how to use that trait.
