I'm thinking something near Therioaphis.

 
Myzocallis?
We've been placing oak-feeding aphids that look like this under Myzocallis, which is in the same subfamily. Are there Therioaphis species that are known to feed on oak?

 
Not to my knowledge Charley.
Not to my knowledge Charley. They are generally associated with Legumes for the most part. The neighboring field is planted to alfalfa, but this is not Spotted-Alfalfa Aphid. They certainly belong in the subfamily. I'll check out Myzocallis. Thanks!

 
I finally got an identificati
I finally got an identification back from John Sorenson with the CDFA Pest Identification Lab in Sacramento. He confirms that it is indeed a species of Myzocallis.
