What sort of beetle is this? - Enaphalodes

What sort of beetle is this? - Enaphalodes
Searcy County, Arkansas, USA
August 22, 2004
Size: ~1.5" long
Opened the car door and this was clinging to the door seal, not sure how it got there. I took three pics from different angles but this was the only one that is useful (others far too blurry). Just curious if this is a beetle, and if so what kind, so I can learn about it. Specimen was captured and released before the door was closed again.

Moved
Moved from Oak Borer.

Moved
Moved from Cerambycinae.

Yes...
...Enaphalodes sp. Either E. atomarius or E. cortiphagus - examination of the last sternum would be needed to distinguish.

Yes it is a beetle
a Long-horned beetle in the family Cerambycidae. Many images in the guide here. Yours has those wonderful wrap-around eyes like Enaphalodes in the Cerambycinae

Looks good
Yes, Enaphalodes looks good, or else genus Paralaphidion.
