Size: ~2 mm
Found in a bag of garden columbine leaves that included Phytomyza mines/puparia and Pristiphora aquilegiae cocoons. I presume it was a parasitoid of the former, since it was about the same size as them. I would expect there to be multiple chalcids, not just one, if they were parasitoids of a medum-sized sawfly.

Pteromalid…
Antennal and wing configuration, a well-armoured metallic-colored thorax, short pronotum, and five-segmented tarsi leave little doubt. Most species are parasitoids of larvae and pupae of Lepidoptera and Coleoptera, but a number of species attack larvae and pupae of Diptera as well, including leaf-mining flies. There are a few that attack cynipids and some that are hyperparasitic on braconids, but I haven't read about sawflies as a host, so I believe you're host assumption is correct.
