Sawmill Canyon, Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
September 24, 2010
Mixed pine-juniper-oak woodland. 6,200' elev. I was hoping for better shots but it was quite windy. As I recall, we took the specimen.

Joel Kits has looked at another specimen of this fly. I agree with him that it is Apolysis, "a weird one."
