small tenebrionid - Platydema americana

small tenebrionid - Platydema americana
Boxborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
March 26, 2006
Size: 5.5mm
Platydema sp.?

Moved
Moved from Platydema.

Platydema sp.
If it is about 6 mm, black, and found under bark, Platydema is always a good bet.

Thanks Don
I thought it was a Platydema, but it looked slimmer than the other pictures, probably just a different species in the genus.
The way you're going, I won't have any unidentified beetles in bugguide. :-)
