caterpillar on petunias and pumpkin? - Chloridea

caterpillar on petunias and pumpkin? - Chloridea
Merrimack, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
September 25, 2010
Size: 3/4 in.
9/30: Guess what I found when I woke up on Saturday morning! My own fuzzy moth that had come from my pumpkin caterpillar! Whoot for complete life cycle! Now we can finally find out what species this is!!!
I let it go that night when nothing would eat it. It flew and landed on a leaf, vibrating its wings for a few seconds before taking off into the night.
Goodbye friend!!!
