Dolomedes scriptus

Dolomedes tenebrosus
. This is actually D. scriptus. You can tell the difference between this species and the very similar tenebrosus by the white lines that run all the way through the middle of the abdomen.. creating a "W". In tenebrosus the white does not go all the way across. Compare with

Yep, fishing spider. looks like Dolomedes Tenebrosus
Yep Fishing spider.
Looks like Dolomedes Tenebrosus species.
I am also from Wayne County, Michigan. Right here in Taylor. Small world
I have found and have kept a few of these as pets. They don't really bite. Ive even hand held mine and never been bitten.
