Nice moth!
Out of curiosity, did you do up your screen in black to make it less intrusive (and reflective)? That might be worth looking into.

 
Mosquito Netting
It's the mosquito netting on my "butterfly house," one of those inexpensive back-yard gazebos. It works well for light colored insects but not for darker ones, like flies. I have to wait until they get on the white roof to get a good photo.

 
I guess it is not a panacea, then!
Have you tried using work light, or spot light? They have their own drawbacks of course, but at least you would not have to wait!
