Moved from ID Request. The other point that Wagner makes is that oblinita has spines of a single color while Simyra has dark and light spines mixed.

My other daggermoth shots from a few years ago are a bit different so I didn't realize it was the same species - appreciate the help.

Acronicta oblinita - Smeared Dagger Moth

but i'm not an expert.

I didn't notice the yellow lateral line before, but I see a bit of it now.

Cancel that previous suggestion. :)
