Scale on escallonia - Ceroplastes sinensis

Size: 1/4"
The scale is on the inside branches of the plant, mostly on one side. I'm not sure exactly what kind it is.

Coccidae, Ceroplastes sp.
These look like one of the wax scales in the Genus Ceroplastes

compare to Ceroplastes floridensis

Ceroplastes sinensis
This species is established in the San Francisco Bay area and around Santa Barbara.
