Plant hopper? - Taylorilygus apicalis

Plant hopper? - Taylorilygus apicalis
Venice, Sarasota County, Florida, USA
March 30, 2006
This flower is maybe 3/4 across. The bug is maybe 1/4 inch or smaller.

Moved
Moved from Plant Bugs.

Miridae.
This is a "plant bug" in the family Miridae, as evidenced by the crease (called a cuneus) in the front wing, just before it goes from leathery to membraneous. Mirids are incredibly diverse, and getting them even to genus is pretty difficult.

Wow
Thank you so much Eric.
