Leaf-footed bug Leptoglossus oppositus?? - Leptoglossus oppositus

Leaf-footed bug Leptoglossus oppositus?? - Leptoglossus oppositus
St. Charles County, Missouri, USA
October 6, 2010
Size: Just under an inch
We've found six of these bugs IN our house (five adult, one nymph), and seen one in the garage, over the last few months. I haven't seen any anywhere else outside, though, including on my cherry tomato plants. It looks pretty similar to some of the photos I've seen here for Leptoglossus oppositus, but nowhere does it say they are found in Missouri, much less coming out inside a house in late summer. Maybe we brought them home with us from Florida in June? If so, is it OK to release them outside here in Missouri?

L. oppositus looks right to me
BugGuide has records from most of the surrounding states (see map), so I would expect them to occur in Missouri as well. It should be fine to release them outside.
