Hemlock Looper larva - Lambdina fiscellaria

Larva was eating Choke Cherry (Prunus virginiana), formed pupa in leaves of food plant. Adult eclosed September 5, 2003, however, it got away before I could get a photo. That has happened often. This is a stressful endeavor!!
