Compared with fusca-group, these ants have relatively small compound eyes.

The Formica pallidefulva grou

The Formica pallidefulva group was recently revised taxonomically. See this article for all the gory details: http://antbase.org/ants/publications/21293/21293.pdf .

This specimen seems to be F. dolosa, based on the somewhat brownish color and relatively dense pubscence of the gaster.
