Shiny Black Fly (lateral) - Xenochaetina

Shiny Black Fly (lateral) - Xenochaetina
Atco, Camden County, New Jersey, USA
October 12, 2010
Size: 3mm?
I could get lateral view of this shiny black fly.
I'm not 100% sure if this was exact same specimen that I posted yesterday or not.

So, I can't tag these 2 images. But I hope this image helps for ID...

Moved
Moved from Calliopum.

Xenochaetina
Going back through the Calliopum (some likely based on my misidentification of an earlier one!). This is Xenochaetina.

Note, Calliopum would have a presutural dorsocentral seta.

Moved
Moved from Lauxaniidae.

Moved
Moved from Flies.

Lauxaniidae
Possibly Minettia sp.

Thank you!
Thank you Gerard! I'll move to Lauxaniidae for now...
