This moth was in mixed woods of the Peidmont area of Georgia.

4654 – Tortricidia flexuosa
Looks like Tortricidia flexuosa to me... It's a vabiable species common in most of the east.

You're exactly right.
I always find it frustrating when two species are so exact as to require dissection or other internal evidence. I found this moth in your Northern Georgia area, so it could well be the same species.
