lichen-camouflaged fringed inchworm - Campaea perlata

lichen-camouflaged fringed inchworm - Campaea perlata
Atlantic Mine, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
May 17, 2010
Size: 2-3 cm
Well-camouflaged inchworm, with a fringe around the underside and a good resemblance to lichen. We found it on a clean rock, so no idea of the foodplant. Does anyone have any suggestions?
