harmless garden spider? looks so menacing! : )
the body seems so small compared to other photos on the web, but... it indeed looks like a match.
so colorful... and so big!! yikes I'm not a fan of spiders but if everyone says this spider is good for bugs, then.. we'll keep her around!

i have found these guys before, and even let them crawl on my hand. they look scary, but they're a beneficial species and pretty too!
