Wasp? Queen? Bee? - Earinus limitaris

Wasp? Queen? Bee? - Earinus limitaris
Pennsylvania, USA
March 27, 2005
I have no idea what this is, by the look of the face in the other image it appears to be a bee or was of some sort. But I could be wrong. I have no idea where to look to figure this one out.

Any help is greatly appreciated as always.

AWESOME PICS
very nice images Paul,

this appears to be a wasp in the family Ichneumonidae from the many segments on the antennae.

but there is a slight chance it may be in the family Braconidae. we will wait on someone that knows for sure.
