Highly Agressive and skittish Brown Praying mantis - Stagmomantis limbata - female

Highly Agressive and skittish Brown Praying mantis - Stagmomantis limbata - Female
Citrus Heights, Sacramento County, California, USA
October 16, 2010
Size: 75mm
Second praying mantis caught within my yard, due to her being the first non-green one had to offer her up a new home, but unlike my normal Praying Mantis's this one is very very agressive to everything, strikes out at the aquarium, and anything approaching her. Also seems to dwarf all my other green mantis's by almost an additional inch. If someone could help with the specifics of why this one is so much meaner that would be greatly appreciated.
