... I go to Guide Page for Diptera. Then I search around and see "Images" and enter therein, right? And, lo, there is "add images"! So that is how it is done? Got it.

yes, absolutely. the thing is, there's no point in leaving ANY pictures in ID Request for over a couple of days: those few experts who look for pix to ID under the 'ID Request' tab [rather than in their respective sections of expertise] hardly ever go past the most recent few pages anyway...
