ID request
I'm new to this site. Does removing from ID request mean no one else will add to this? It doesn't have a definite ID yet. Thanks, Trudy

Eristalis dimidiata, a male
So, Trudy, here's your ID to species. What Ken did was move your post out of the easily cluttered ID Request section into a more defined spot where experts in that particular kind of insect will see it more quickly. (I should add that I'm not an expert.)

New to the site, you may want to explore the Forums, particularly this one: http://bugguide.net/node/view/298899

Also check out the Help tab. After doing that, you may want to move your post to its rightful place: Eristalis dimidiata. Here's a link to simplify your first move: http://bugguide.net/node/view/9137/bgimage

Thanks
Wow! Thanks for all your help. This site is awesome.

Trudy

My pleasure!
Am looking forward to your future posts.

Fly, actually.
Something in Syrphidae. The experts will be able to tell you more.
