Pseudaptinus? - Pseudaptinus lecontei

Pseudaptinus? - Pseudaptinus lecontei
Mark Twain Nt. For., Taney County, Missouri, USA
May 22, 2010
Size: 6 mm
Collected out of leaf litter using berlese extraction by JR Fisher and D Keeler. Used the keys in American Beetles and identified it as a Pseudaptinus sp. Is this correct? Further identification is appreciated.

Pseudaptinus lecontei
in agreement with V. Belov. Not given MO status in the catalogue by Bousquet & Larochele (1993) so this specimen could very well represent a new state record. Comes closest to known occurrence in TX-LA-MS. I will pass this on to Yves Bousquet. Nice!

sounds fine to me; maybe another P. lecontei
consider contacting Peter Messer to arrange for examination of your specimens
