Size: 2 mm
Extracted from litter using a modified berlese funnel. Identified as Eurhoptus sp. using the key in American Beetles. It looks very similar to the undescribed Eurhoptus , which was also found in Arkansas.

Are you currently working on Eurhoptus? We have half a dozen or so of these guys right from multiple sites in the southern Ozarks and will probably get more, which should be enough for a proper description.

Time warp
Wow, I haven't thought about Eurhoptus is quite a long time! I worked on them during my degree work, but haven't been at Arkansas in almost 5 years and left the specimens in the collection there. Maybe I can have someone find them and key them out./
