I think so too. For some reason it was on the same type of patio light type thing as the last one. It also is a female and has differrent markings. Maybe they like to hang out at lights for the insects that come. Anyway, it is only the second one I have seen.

you found it on a patio? it wasn;t under a rock or something? thats why they are so flat, to get or hide in places where most animals can't.
im not sure if these guys build webs, my knowledge on them isnt too advanced.

it is intersting to note though, that spiders build their webs close to light, especially theridiids and orb weavers. i wonder if they are attracted to the light itself or they 'know' what insects are attracted to

It wasn't on a patio as such, just these little patio lantern type things that line a path through the woods near my lab. They seem to like to hang out here, but they could be everywhere else as well and the chances I would notice them would be slim. They do have pretty good camouflage and sit pretty still.
I did not mention that I saw a juvenile one today on another lamp near the same spot. I tried to catch it, but it crawled (quickly!) into a crack on top of the light.
