From garbanzo pod - Ectopsocus briggsi

From garbanzo pod - Ectopsocus briggsi
Alameda County, California, USA
October 28, 2010
Size: 2.5 mm bl
Found in a dry garbanzo-bean pod, which also contained much frass and a stunted-looking seed. The frass lumps looked too big to have come from this bug. Does it eat seeds?

Ectopsocus briggsi -- det. E.L. Mockford
Moved from Ectopsocus.

Ectopsocus
i doubt they would eat seeds, unless the latter are moldy or in an advanced stage of decomposition
