Moved
Moved from Peltodytes callosus.

This is recently described new species (1) is recorded from Arizona and New Mexico. It can be separated from P. callosus by the larger size and shape of the elytral tubercle and also the elytral punctures have black rings, rather than being entirely black.

Harshaw Creek
one of my favorite places in southern AZ...got lots of good beetles there!

Definitely,
especially for someone who's only been to Arizona twice and isn't used to the scenery or beetles.
