Procryphalus utahensis

Procryphalus utahensis
Wheeler Peak, Taos County, New Mexico, USA
July 11, 2008
Size: 1.7 mm
This genus can be distinguished by the lack of a pronotal marginal line, entire eye, and antennal funicle of 4 segs. This specimen is missing a lot of scales on elytra. P. utahensis has 8 asperities along the anterior of the pronotum, and the frons has small punctation (Wood, 1982). Can't distinguish male/female externally.
