These deposits are prolific - found all over our property. They appear on walls, branches, cactus, and in the case of this picture, a trellis.

Mantis eggs?
They really resemble the concrete-like egg masses Mantid species leave. I'm sure someone can help. If they are Mantids, they are a great free pest control system for your garden!
