Focus-thwarting bug -
Taylorilygus apicalis
Orange County, California, USA
April 5, 2006
Size: approx. 5mm
This bug borders on translucent, and it's very hard to bring into focus. (I've run into this with other similar insects.) It was on the lethargic side, soon after rain.

Lovely image of a mirid, many of which are delicate and transluscent like this (the mirid, not the image).
