Size: Approx. 6 mm
Quite a few of these small bees were busy on Pine-Bush, Ericameria pinifolia, in the late morning (11:00 am - 12:00 noon) at the Claremont Colleges' Robert J. Bernard Biological Field Station. I do have more photos, so please let me know if you need to see something additional to make an ID. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Moved from Perdita.

Hi Nancy, good news -
I collected a male specimen last week, and two females today. I was fascinated while observing several females collecting pollen, & taking nectar. The females I photographed unfortunately lost their pollen packs in the transfer from the net.
Doug Yanega has identified this bee as Perdita ericameriae, so I'll move your images to the new page. See this post for comments:

Nice series, Nancy!
I'd say its probably a Perdita, but wait for John Ascher's comments.
