I`ve had a second look at thi
I`ve had a second look at this fly and I can`t be certain about the hairs on the eyes, deceived by the condensation.
To be safe, I have asked Martin to move it to Syrphus.

There`s no flattened beading
There`s no flattened beading at the sides of tergites; some yellow hairs on the side margins of tergites; yellow spots reaching side margins of tergites.
I think this is Syrphus.

Eupeodes, sp., a male
This shot isn't quite definitive, but the other shows the (black) margined abdomen distinctive to Eupeodes.
