Lycosid? Side View, with spiderlings - Hogna lenta - female

Lycosid? Side View, with spiderlings - Hogna lenta - Female
Beverly Hills, Citrus County, Florida, USA
November 3, 2010
Size: body approx. 1 in long
Mary discovered this family just inside our laundry room. Mother and spiderlings had moved into the garage by the time I arrived with my camera. Lycosidae was the closest I could find in terms of eye arrangement.

Yes
you are correct, and it's likely a Hogna sp. If you can find her again... or another one, try to get some shots of the underside or ventral view. That will help with ID if it's a Hogna. (Sealing the spider in a plastic baggie helps to get this photo.)
