Carabid - Pterostichus corvinus

Carabid - Pterostichus corvinus
Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
April 6, 2006
Size: 14mm
The pronotum is really downcurved at the edges.

Moved
Moved from Pterostichus.

Pterostichus sp.
Identifiable if I took the time, the foveae and punctation are clear on the posterior portion of the pronotum.

Mites, too?
Is this thing carrying a load of mites, too? If so, they have arranged themselves very symmetrically around the edges of the elytra:-)
