Identification
The color patterns can be deceiving and means little; the head structure matters (i.e., whether the head is projected), and, to a degree, overall size. I have looked at tails of a lot of these and several species of Flatoidinae reported from the US do not appear to be here, but I would encourage photos and collecting specimens of this group to better document our fauna. --Charles Bartlett, pers.comm. to =v= 6.viii.2015 & 27.iii.2017
