We found several of these small inverts in soil/leaf litter samples in September 2010. This was the largest.

NICE
Nice finding!! Looks like a Newsteadia sp. (Ortheziidae) to me, they have those medial wax plates projecting forwardly. There has been no record of this genus in the state! Great!!
