Hydrophilidae - Neoporus dimidiatus

Hydrophilidae - Neoporus dimidiatus
Elkland, Missouri, Dallas County, Missouri, USA
July 17, 2010
Size: 4.3 mm
The ventral view isn't great. Sometimes my image stacking is better than a single shot with a smaller f-stop, and sometimes the "slices" aren't in focus on the right places, as seems to be the case here. The MP-E65 seems to work best for me almost wide open with about 3 to 5 "slices," unless the legs or antennae are out at angles.
