Interesting outline
Is that irregular outline part of a leaf or something the spider has incorporated into the overhead structure? Are there egg sacs in there?

The retreat is a slightly curled oak leaf. That gives it its jagged edges. There should be numerous egg sacs stacked within. While this is a small aggregation, its not uncommon to find several trees or bushes with over a hundred interwoven webs running through them.
