I does look like furcata. I wish I knew more so that I could be sure. I was very tempted to move it there.

Palpada, rather.
Probably Palpada furcata, but I'm not up on eastern species. Easily confused with Eristalis, but you can usually tell the difference from the thorax. Your is the second most common of three.
