What collecting technique was used?
Was it found in leaf litter?

Thanks
Thanks for all the info Hans.

I aspirated 2 individuals that were attempting to crawl out of a 'hole' in a heavily eroded area in a sandy path in a high quality sandy prairie. There was a small amount of litter at the bottom of the 'hole'. They would climb partly up the wall (sandy soil) and then lose their foothold and fall back to the bottom. There was also a katydid nymph close by at the bottom of the hole.

I saw an additional individual the following weekend, but did not collect that one.

Thanks
Thank you for giving more details Jeff. It would be interesting to follow up with this by rearing. Maybe they are parasitoids of the Katydids or hyperparasitoids.
Intriguing finding more about the lives of these flightless hymenops.
István Mikó is working on Ceraphronoidea at Andy Deans at NC State University.

BTW: My original post should say enlarged stigmal vein. (oops)
