Size: 4 mm
Looks similar to the only image of Laccophilus pictus in the guide; please confirm this species or something similar. Found in temporary pools in desert wash along with Sunburst Diving Beetles.

Laccophilus pictus, yes. These are pretty little guys, aren't they? I've also caught them with Thermonectus marmoratus and Laccophilus horni as well.
